One of my favorite beach activities is scavenging for beach glass. Beach glass is created when broken shards of glass become smooth, frosted, and precious, transformed by the gentle lapping of water and the persistent rubbing of sand. Archetypes can be compared to a seed. There is already a pattern encoded at an individual level that knows it will eventually turn into a tomato plant or petunia. Human beings are attuned to 1, 2 or 3 archetypes. How archetypes manifest at the individual level varies from person to person. For example, the healer archetype is my predominant archetype and has manifested in me as a counsellor and therapist. For others, it may germinate as a doctor, nurse or psychiatrist.
